Fly Around The Magic Valley On Google Earth For Free
It's fun to play around with Google Earth. Zooming in and out trying to locate your house can kill a lot of time. But, did you know that Google Earth also includes a flight simulator that will allow you to fly around the Magic Valley for free?
How to do this: First, you download Google Earth. You knew I was going to say that, didn't you? After that's installed, follow these instructions from Google.
You can open the flight simulator through the menu or using shortcut keys:
- In the menu: Click or touch Tools>Enter Flight Simulator
- Windows: Press Ctrl+Alt+A
- Mac: Press ⌘+Option+A
After that, choose your plane and where you want to start from. I chose a F-16, because I enjoy having missiles on my planes. Then, I took off from Magic Valley Regional Airport and proceeded to attack Dierkes Lake.
Have some fun with this. Where will you fly? I hear the Stanley, Idaho airport is lovely this time of year.
