
South Idaho Man Seen With Hitchhikers Before 1968 Disappearance
One of Idaho's oldest missing persons cases involves an elderly man who was seen driving a pair of hitchhikers in the summer of 1968.
Fred Donald Miller disappeared on August 17, 1968, near his home in Hagerman, Idaho. He was seen behind the wheel of his 1960 Rambler Ambassador with two unknown occupants.
Was one of his passengers that day responsible for his disappearance?
Fred Miller Has Been Missing From Southern Idaho Since 1968

Miller was 66 years old when he went missing northwest of Twin Falls. Police were able to locate the two individuals who hitched a ride with Miller that day, but no charges were filed against either passenger, according to details shared on the Idaho Missing Persons Alerts Meta page.

Due to Miller's age when he went missing, he is considered deceased, but his remains have never been found.
Did Miller meet with foul play on that summer day nearly 60 years ago?
Miller was seen at an area bar that same day, just before vanishing after witnesses saw him with the two passengers, according to IMPA. If Miller was intoxicated, perhaps he suffered some sort of automobile accident.
