Tomorrow is Groundhog day: when the great and mighty Punxsutawney Phil emerges from his tree stump to predict an early spring, or six more weeks of winter.

In the 1993 film starring Bill Murray, Murray plays a bitter TV weather man sent to cover the groundhog story. He awakes on Groundhog day over and over and over again to find that he’s stuck in that one day, and nothing he does has any consequence or repercussion. In the film, which is brilliantly done, Murray’s character goes crazy, then does anything he wants, and finally finds the path to bettering himself.
