No NOT Donald Trump, but Dan O'Leary.  He's a Texas City Manager who fired himself in order to save his city $176,000 annually.

  1. I want his salary.
  2. I want to vote for this man!

Can you say "taking one for the team?" According to the Star-Telegram:

"This was the best time," O'Leary said.  The timing of the resignation was based on three factors, he said. O'Leary wanted to resign before the city elections in May, so people wouldn't conclude that he didn't like the election results; before the annual budget process, which begins this month, gets heavily under way; and after the auditor gave a final annual report, which occurred at Tuesday's pre-council meeting.

Oh and he went on to say that instead of taking the cities pension, that he's eligible for.  Instead, he's going to get a job.  And like you and I, finding that job is no guarantee.

That's cool!  Would you have done what O'Leary did?
