Idaho Police Question Mall Snowman Over Alleged Teen Battery
Charges have been avoided in the case of an adult male dressed as a snowman who was posing for photographs in northern Idaho and may have accidentally caused a teenager to fall and strike her head. The incident took place in a popular shopping area on December 20.
Coeur d'Alene police responded to a shopping center recently after witnesses reported an incident involving a teenager who fell and sustained a minor head injury while in the presence of an adult dressed as a snowman. It's unknown whether the man was paid to be present at The Shops at Coeur d'Alene.
The public should be aware of these individuals and choose not to approach them if they don't wish to engage.
Charges will not be pursued in the matter of a teen who reportedly has a phobia of mascots or individuals dressed in costume whose reaction to an adult male dressed as a snowman caused her to fall and hit her head. The parents of the injured teen were considering pursuing battery charges, according to KXLY News.
This time of year, shopping mall Santas and other holiday characters are commonly seen in front of stores posing for photographs and raising money for various causes. The public should be aware of these individuals and choose not to approach them if they don't wish to engage.
