Idaho Teacher Gets Job Back after Personal Facebook Picture
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A southeastern Idaho girls basketball coach fired over a photograph posted on her Facebook page showing her fiance touching her bikini-clad chest has been reinstated as a substitute teacher.
But the attorney for Laraine Cook says it's unclear in letters received from School District 25 officials if she'll also return as the basketball coach at Pocatello High School. Gary Cooper tells the Idaho State Journal that the letter says that officials will contact Cook at a later date about her employment as the coach for the 2014-2015 season.
Cook was dismissed in October, but a grievance panel in December concluded she should be reinstated as a teacher and coach. District 25 officials on Tuesday adopted resolutions to do that but Cooper says they altered language concerning Cook's return to coaching.
