BOISE (KTVB) -- Idaho officials say a slight bump in the number of people entering the job market for the third month in a row has moved Idaho's unemployment rate to 4.1 percent in July.

The Idaho Department of Labor announced Friday that an additional 1,200 people re-entered the job market, which has nudged Idaho's total labor force to nearly 800,000.

The agency says July's unemployment rate moved by one-tenth percent.

The agency added that the state's labor force participation rate has not changed from its steady 64.1 percent. That percent is based on the state's population age 16 and over either holding a job or looking for work.

Nationally, July's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.3 percent.
