The Greenbelt is one of the most popular attractions in the Treasure Valley. It gives all of the locals a spot to walk around, bike around, and run around, within view of the river. It's always been a very popular spot and during the summer there are always a ton of people using the Greenbelt.

That being said a new form of transportation has started to pop up on the Greenbelt more and more. Ebikes and Escooters seem to be the sudden craze that has swept over the Treasure Valley.

Most of the time when you're using the Greenbelt you're likely to run into one of these electric forms of transportation. Sometimes these bikes and scooters are going... rather fast.

Considering the bikes and scooters are electronic they can hit high speeds. You definitely don't want to get hit by one of these.

One of the rules of the Boise Greenbelt is to not go at full speed when riding bikes and scooters and Garden City added a new law when it comes to the ebikes and e-scooters.

Between complaints from residents and concerns from police the Garden City mayor decided there needed to be a change. High-speed e-bikes and e-scooters are now banned from the Greenbelt in Garden City. This was done with the safety of the residents in mind however some people are quite upset about it.

There have been mixed reactions popping up online. You could see what people are saying in this video:
