In 2 days, ISP responded to 3 serious accidents, 2 with fatalities.

A crash on December 4th in Jefferson County has Idaho State Police investigating. The crash occurred just after 7 AM on SH33.

A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on SH33. A 2018 Volvo semi-truck hauling a trailer was traveling westbound on SH33. The Chevrolet crossed the center line where it struck the Volvo head on.

The 23-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a local hospital. The road was blocked for 3 hours until the scene was cleared.

On December 5th, ISP responded to 2 accidents.

At about 4:30 PM on US20 North of St. Anthony, ISP responded to an accident.

A 66-year-old woman, from Saint Anthony, was traveling South on 2600 East, in a Kia Sorento. A 64-year-old man from Billings, Montana, was traveling eastbound on US20, in a Kenworth Tractor.
The driver of the Kia Sorento failed to yield to the stop sign and the vehicles collided.

The driver of the Kia was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. The driver of the tractor was wearing a seat belt and was not transported. After 3 hours, the southbound lane of US20 was reopened.

In Caldwell, just before 5 PM, ISP responded to a crash involving a pedestrian.

A 70-year-old male from Caldwell was walking eastbound on the north side of Cirrus Dr. and attempted to cross the street at the intersection of Moosehorn Way. A 38-year-old female from Meridian was driving eastbound on Cirrus Dr. in a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The driver made a left turn onto Moosehorn way and struck the pedestrian.
The 70-year-old male succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Emergency responders assisted the persons involved and cleared the scene after about 3 hours.

All incidents are under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
