Bullying has been around for a long time, but because of the internet, it seems to be worse now than ever before. It used to be easy to escape bullies by going home, moving away, and transferring jobs or schools. In today's world, it is possible to be bullied at all times as they can reach anyone at any time with social media, cell phones, and other platforms. Bullying can be bad no matter where you live, but some states see it worse than others. WalletHub recently released a list of the states with the biggest bullying problems to the least and used a few categories to do so, such as bully prevalence, bullying impact and treatment, and anti-bullying laws. According to the list, the state with the biggest bullying problem is California, with Alaska being second, and Nevada rounding out the top three. The state that has the least to worry about when it comes to bullying is Delaware, with Massachusetts being second, and Rhode Island rounding out the bottom three.

There have been stories of bullying over the last few years in Twin Falls, but when it comes to bullying problems statewide, how does Idaho compare to the other states? Idaho isn't as bad as some places, but is still too high, being ranked 28. Idaho is 25 in bully prevalence, 37 in bullying impact and treatment, and 22 in any-bullying laws. Is it due to population or is bullying truly not that bad compared to other places? Despite what the list says, there is still too much bullying taking place in the Gem State.
