We all do it, but nobody enjoys talking about it. It is embarrassing to talk about and falls into the taboo category. For some that may seem like a long time, and for others it may not seem long enough. The main reason that the time falls where it is, is because many Americans are too busy on their phones instead of doing their business.

According to the study, the average person will end up spending 240 days on the throne taking care of businesses. That could be lowered if you put your phone away focus on the task at hand and get off the throne sooner. According to a different study from portlandloo.com, 65 percent of Americans admit to taking their phone with them to the toilet. For those that think they spend too long in the bathroom, you have a long way to go to break the world record, which currently sits at 116 hours. Far too many times people stay in the restroom when they have been done long ago, taking up valuable time and perhaps taking up a toilet or stall while someone in need waits outside.
You got to go, you got to go, but perhaps you are spending more time sitting than you realize. Set a timer and see how close to that 12-minute average you come to, and if you go over, perhaps you may want to add a little time management to your schedule.
