Special 1 Night Only Event in Hansen for a Perfect Friday the 13th

The fear of the number 13 is called triskaidekaphobia. The fear of Friday the 13th is paraskevidekatriaphobia or sometimes friggatriskaidekaphobia. Understanding a fear is not going to eradicate it, but trying to pronounce its name may cause glossophobia or a fear of speaking in public.

Why Are People Afraid of Friday the 13th?

The idea of the number 13 being unlucky may have originated from the biblical tradition of 13 guests at the Last Supper. Jesus was crucified the following day, a Friday. It may have been the day of the week that Eve Gave Adam the apple and when Cain killed Abel.

There was a special club formed to quash the stigma around the number 13. The Thirteen Club would have a dinner on the 13th of the month in room 13 to eat a 13-course dinner. The idea didn't take hold, though. Friday the 13th was released in 1980 to intensify people’s obsessions.

Stricker After Dark is hosted by Friends of Stricker. It is a special event for one night only in Hansen. Guides escort victims, oh wait, guests through the property and explain its distinct history.
