What would you do? What would you do if you had a free day to play and enjoy the snow in Idaho like when you were a kid? Which activity would you do? Would you play alone or with your family or friends? Would you go skiing? What about snowboarding? Would you go sledding? Would you build a snowman? Would you start a good old snowball fight? Would you stay indoors and read a book by a fire? There are typically a few snow days every winter in Idaho, and as adults, we often have to still go to work, but if you could enjoy one snow day as you did as a child, what would you want to do?

As an adult, it isn't fair to watch kids stay home from school, sleep in, play in the snow, and enjoy the winter weather in Idaho. Far too many residents have to work when it snows, which is bad enough, but it is even worse when you have to drive on the dangerous roads. The conditions often make it ideal to stay home and enjoy a day off work. As we get older, we don't enjoy the snow the same way we did as kids, but if for one day you could physically handle it, and were encouraged to get outside and enjoy a true snow day, what would you choose to do? There are plenty of options in Idaho, and picking only one can be tough.

There are some great mountains around the Gem State to go skiing and snowboarding. Often, schedules get so busy and seasons pass by, and you either never hit the slopes or don't get to as much as you would like. Having a full day to ski or snowboard would be enjoyable. Perhaps to save money, and because you don't know how to ski or snowboard, you could choose a nice big hill and go sledding. There are some incredible hills in Idaho for sledding, and if you know where to go, you can have fun all day flying down the hills. If you would rather stay close to home, go outside and build a snowman like the good old days, build an igloo, and have a snowball fight. Teach your kids how to enjoy the snow, call your neighbors over and have a big snowball fight, or have fun making snow angels. If the snow isn't your thing, you could stay indoors, read a book by the fire, watch a movie, or sip on hot chocolate all day.

We all remember the days of being a kid playing in the snow, but somewhere in the process of growing up, we like it less than we used to. If you could have one snow day as an adult, what would you do?
