Prove Me Wrong: This is the Best Idaho Waterfall Video Ever Made

Idaho is filled with beautiful waterfalls, though it seems like most of them are in Southern Idaho. And since waterfalls are naturally beautiful, it’s hard to say that one is better than another. We might just say that they are beautiful in different ways.

That’s not the case with this video. This is the most beautiful, mesmerizing, and cinematic drone video I’ve ever seen of an Idaho waterfall.

The craziest thing about the video is that, while it does start in the Snake River Canyon near the world-famous Shoshone Falls, that’s not the focal point of the video. Instead, the drone focuses on the Perrine Coulee Waterfall as it flies towards it. Then the drone climbs up and over the waterfall to show the most beautiful landscape and river.

I’ve lived here for nearly 20 years and had no idea that the river, rocks, and vegetation leading to the Perrine Coulee Falls drop were so beautiful. Check out the video posted by Jake Detweiler, and see if you don’t agree.

Now that you’ve seen it, are you as surprised as I am? I had no idea that just above the waterfall was a small pond being fed by a variety of smaller waterfalls. It almost looks like a scene from a tropical adventure destination.

I was surprised to see that all of this is just a few feet from the Canyon Rim Trail, and most of us had no idea until now that something so beautiful was there. It’s mind-blowing that this is all tucked into a small section of land between the Canyon Rim Trail above the Perrine Coulee Falls.

My favorite waterfall is usually the one on the walk through Box Canyon, but after watching Jake’s video, I’m in love with the Perrine Coulee Falls.
