Halloween is sneaking up on us and if you aren’t ready, it could be an extra scary night.

You don’t want to get caught with no candy or decorations. And maybe most importantly, you don’t want to be wrong when you guess what a kid is dressed as.

Which Witch is Idaho's Favorite Broom Rider?

There are a lot of options for kids and adults when it comes to costumes. Some are based on actual characters, others are loosely based on something, and others are up to the imagination of the creator.

One common costume in Idaho is a witch. You may think of a witch with long black hair, green skin, a broom, and a face wart. Maybe your idea of a witch is more like Scarlet Witch or Agatha from Marvel, or one of the witches from Harry Potter like Hermione Granger. But none of those are the favorite witch in Idaho.

That honor goes to someone you have probably never heard of and you’ll need to look her up. I did, and I watched the TV show she’s from!

You've Never Heard of Idaho's Favorite Witch: Who is It?

If you watched Once Upon a Time, you’ll recall that many of your favorite Disney characters appeared in the show. But as far as witches go, Regina Mills was a new name that made a big impact on viewers.

I watched Once Upon a Time, but that was years ago since it ended in 2018 (you can still watch it on streaming services). I knew there was a main character lady witch from the town under a spell, but I couldn’t remember her name until this list came up from Sharper Uniforms. They went through Google searches over the last year and Regina was the top search for Idahoans.

Regina is an unexpected choice. She isn’t well known and there are a lot of better, more powerful, and more popular witch options. Any of those I mentioned before, plus one of the witches from Hocus Pocus, The Wizard of Oz, or other more popular TV shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch or Endora and Samantha from Bewitched would have seemed like more obvious choices.

Is Regina our favorite witch or did she make the list because it was based on Google searches and we were searching for her because we had no idea who she was?
