Kohl’s Closing Dozens of Stores in 2025: 1 in ID and 1 in UT
Kohl’s made a huge announcement in early January about store closures in 2025. They revealed they’ll be shutting down 27 stores this year that they consider ‘underperforming’ and the closures will all happen by April.
Today is the final day of March, and true to the report, Kohl's has closed stores in Utah and Idaho. Washington somehow made this cut without any losses.

Which Stores is Kohl’s Closing in California, Idaho, and Utah?
In the original press release from Kohl’s in January, they listed 27 store locations that would be closed in 2025. 10 of those stores are in California, and 1 each in Idaho, Utah, Oregon, and Colorado. They also announced that the E-commerce Distribution Center in San Bernardino will close in May. Washington has 21 stores and none of them were listed in the press release as closing this year.
Kohl’s didn’t reveal specific dates for each closure, just that they would all happen by April 2025. Those closures in Idaho and Utah have already happened - Idaho lost a store in Boise and Utah lost 1 in Riverton. Idaho does still have 5 Kohl's stores and Utah has 11.
