
At Least 10 People Injured in Idaho Highway Crash Near Lake Pend Oreille
The first accident reported by the Idaho State Police in the new month of July involved two vans with drivers from Idaho and Washington. One of the vans was transporting 10 passengers, and all of them were taken to a local hospital for care.
Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
Two Vans Involved in Injury Accident on Northern Idaho Highway
The report from the Idaho State Police states that the accident happened a few minutes after 2 PM on July 1st. ISP troopers and Bonner County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene on US95 near mile marker 490.
A Ford Transit Van, driven by a 29-year-old female from Naples, Idaho entered the highway and was struck by a Chevy Express van, driven by a 34-year-old male, from Usk, Washington.
The Chevy van had 10 passengers inside, ages and genders were not shared, all of whom were taken to an area hospital. The report says that one of the injured passengers was taken by air ambulance, several were taken in ground ambulances, and the rest were taken in personal vehicles.

It isn’t completely clear from the report whether the passengers in the Chevy were the only ones taken to the hospital, since it says ‘several patients’ and ‘one occupant’ we aren’t sure if any of those injured were the drivers of the vehicles. The report does say that all passengers were taken to the hospital.
The accident is being investigated, and we will update this story if there are clarifications or other updates.
