It can be said that you don’t need to worry about the police if you aren’t breaking the law, yet we still get nervous if one of them is tailing us on the road. But sometimes we don’t know that the car behind us is a police officer when the car is unmarked, and the unmarked cop car game is at a totally different level down in Utah.

We went to Southern Utah for spring break and while we were down there we saw a car get pulled over by what looked like a family wagon SUV. It was a dark grey Ford Explorer with stickers on the back window of a family. You know the stickers, the stick figure family of the mom and dad with however many kids and pets - yeah, they had that on an unmarked cop car. Super sneaky, Utah.

Undercover Cop Cars In Utah Are Getting Sneaky

Making the cop car look like a family car is pretty sneaky, and clever. I didn’t get a good look at the stick figure family or a photo, but it would be funny if it was a cop as the dad and the kids were in handcuffs. Utah isn’t the only place where I’ve seen the cops getting tricky with their cars.

Last year, I was heading down to Las Vegas and passed a cop car in White Pine County, Nevada that was parked on the side of the road in a small town with a dummy in the driver's seat. No, that isn’t a dig at the competency of the police, it was a legit fake human in the seat.
