
COLD CASE: Utah Mother Of 3, Card Dealer Vanishes 27 Yrs Ago
Law enforcement in northwestern Utah has been working to solve a cold case involving a mother who vanished while employed at a casino over a quarter century ago.

In 1998, Miroslaba Ramirez was a 29-year-old mother working to raise three kids in the Salt Lake City area. She commuted to work over 100 miles west to the community of Wendover, where she was a blackjack dealer.
Ramirez was married when she went missing in October of that year while in the company of her husband, according to details shared by The Salt Lake Tribune.

It would take 12 years for Miroslaba's remains to be discovered. In 2011, bone fragments located in the desert south of Wendover near the Utah / Nevada border were tested, and the DNA matched that of the missing mother, according to ABC 4.
The woman's husband, Jose Ramirez Rodriguez, also vanished around the same time and has been considered a suspect in the case for 27 years, according to The Salt Lake City Tribune. The two were reportedly preparing to meet with an Elko, Nevada, lawyer.

Miroslaba's kids are still waiting for answers in this case. According to online searches, Jose Ramirez Rodriguez has never been located for questioning in this matter.
