The college football bowl season begins today and by the time the national championship game is played January 13th in New Orleans more than 40 games will have been played.

Seven of those games will have involved Mountain West teams starting with today's Frisco Bowl in Texas where Utah State faces Kent State.

Saturday December 21st a pair of Mountain West teams take the field in the New Mexico and Las Las Vegas Bowls.

San Diego State plays Central Michigan in Albuquerque while Boise State and Washington collide in Las Vegas.

On Christmas Eve it's the Hawaii Bowl where BYU and Hawaii clash. The game will air on ESPN at 6 pm.

On Friday December 27th The Air Force Academy plays Washington State at the Cheez It Bowl in Phoenix. That's an 8:15pm kickoff.

Monday December 30th it's the Arizona Bowl in Tucson featuring Wyoming and Georgia State at 2:30 pm on the CBSSN.

Last but not least on the Mountain West Bowl card is The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Friday January 3rd featuring Nevada vs. Ohio, kickoff at 1:30pm on ESPN.
