Not everyone sleeps well. Sleep deprivation can result from many things like stress, tending to newborn children or animals, an addiction to electronics, and so on.

Employers and business owners aren't really concerned with how many hours we're sleeping, all they are focused on is productivity. A survey of 1,300 U.S. workers has revealed that a large number of them are napping on the clock, and some are doing it several times a week.

Napping on the job isn't easy to pull off. There are only a few paying gigs where it would be possible to get paid while sleeping. Truck drivers, overnight caregivers, and hotel night auditors are a few gigs where pulling this off could be possible, but most of us have positions where daily interactions with the boss are too frequent to snooze away.

I'll admit it, I've been struggling lately staying awake at work. We just got two chocolate lab puppies that are just nine weeks old and have had my wife and I pulling some late nights, On top of that, I wake up at 3:45 A.M. during the work week so I can be to work by 4:15A.M. to start prepping for the day.

A survey from a few months back by Sleep Doctor found that 46 percent of American workers admit to sleeping on the clock, according to data published by Fortune. Furthermore, 33 percent admitted to doing it multiple times a week, and 9 percent stated they nap daily.
