New Jersey’s governor just gave a serious nip and tuck to the tax laws concerning cosmetic surgery for citizens of the Garden State.

Gov. Chris Christie signed a bill into law that will eliminate the “cosmetic medical procedures gross receipt tax” imposed back in 2004 that forced clinics to bill customers taxes for various procedures.

The tax collected as much as $10.8 million a year in revenue, but Christie and company said the tax placed “financial and administrative burdens” on those who had to pay it.

The bill phases out the tax gradually until July of 2013. That collective sigh of relief came from the entire cast of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey.’
