One Person Hurt in Rexburg Officer-Involved Shooting

One person was hurt in an officer-involved shooting that happened early Tuesday, October 22.

The Rexburg Police Department said the incident happened around 12:58 a.m. near 2nd West and 2nd North in Rexburg. An adult had a gunshot wound after the incident and was taken to the hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The police department said they called the East Idaho Central Task Force, who will be helping in the investigation of the incident. The Rexburg Police Department said no officers were hurt during the incident.

The names of the people involved won't be released until the investigation has completed.
