Opinion: Would A Twin Falls ID Strip Club Really Be Blasphemous?
Many Idahoans are completely against the idea of strip clubs expanding in southern Idaho. If someone held a gun to my head and told me to foreshadow, I'd say that at the rate the lower half of the state is expanding, there's a very good chance we'll see a gentleman's club in Twin Falls by 2030.
My inspiration for writing this came from a post to a southern Idaho rants/raves website a few months back that I haven't been able to find since reading it. Perhaps it got deleted, or maybe it got so buried deep down in other content that it's like a lost ship in the Atlantic.
DISCLAIMER: I fully expect people to be agitated by the mere title of this story, but try not to lose your minds too abruptly until you mull over its true intent.
By the way, yes, I am from California; there's no need to click on my bio for that news nugget. I spent many years living in Idaho and enjoyed my time there immensely, but needed to get back closer to "the bosom of the Pacific Ocean." (-Big Lebowski)
The rants/raves banter chain that I have since misplaced had to do with the expansion of strip clubs into cities like Twin Falls. Of course, you had your holier-than-thou responses, your people cracking jokes, and your people who actually stated that they wouldn't mind it at all. There's a very telling video on YouTube right now from 2021 regarding the climate in Idaho where a guy is protesting a Boise club and the exchange goes back and forth and is more or less moral jibber-jabber.
(WARNING: VIDEO MIGHT BE UPSETTING TO SOME)
Boise is home to a couple of establishments where men, women, and couples go to enjoy the pleasures of the flesh. The doors to these clubs are opening and closing hundreds of times a day, and cops, politicians, teachers, church employees, and other people who are held in high regard in communities throughout the state are spending money; it's just a fact.
There isn't a lot of data online regarding gentlemen's clubs in Idaho. The only chat forum I was able to find was from 11 years ago on Reddit when a new couple to the Boise area reached out inquiring about which club was the best in town. Not even Google knows how many gentlemen's clubs there are statewide. I would guess there are less than 10.
So, would the expansion of these types of clubs truly mean the end of Idaho as Idahoans know it, complete with fire and brimstone?
