"It takes a village to raise a child."

This holds true for all military families. While mom or dad serves their country, organizations like the 116th Family Readiness Group and Idaho National Guard Military Youth Programs aid military families in need.

Think about it, it must be really hard to be a kid with a parent who's serving in the military oversees.  While serving, they might miss out on a birthday or on some other important milestone.  Let alone the worry if their parent will ever return home safely.

Kids need normalcy and both the 116th FRG and Military Youth Programs do just that.

Theses are both great programs that take care of our military families.  And it's not just about the soldier, it's about their entire family.  Take care of the soldier's family and that soldier won't have to worry about their family thousands of miles away while they're juggle their military duties.

So if you'd like to help support our military men and women right here in the Magic Valley, all you have to do is attend our sister station KOOL 96.5's Polyester Party.  Portion of proceeds to benefit the Idaho National Guard Military Youth Programs and Family Readiness for the 116th in Twin Falls.  Plus it will be a good time.
