
Do Idahoans Back President Trump’s Plan To Control Greenland?
One of the most hotly debated political stories circulating on the evening news worldwide right now is President Donald Trump's recent aspirations to acquire the territory of Greenland in an effort to develop it.
The idea has been met with scathing criticism from world leaders on multiple continents. Danish parliament member Anders Vistisen told President Trump to "F$#@ off!" during a recent press conference in which he was addressing the idea of the United States leader pursuing the annexation of the world's largest island.
Foreign military forces have even been deployed to the region in preparation for the defense of the landmass that holds nearly three million cubic meters of ice.

President Trump has been taking his share of condemnation despite the fact that the U.S. has made multiple attempts to acquire the region in the past 200 years, according to Fortune. President Harry S. Truman offered over $100 million for the land in 1946, which Denmark closed the book on.

Trump has expressed an interest in developing Greenland into a territory that would increase tourism thereby making both Europe and the United States wealthier. President Trump has stated that the U.S. has no desire to use force in an effort to acquire the territory.
A Reuters poll recently found that only 20 percent of Americans support Trump's plan for Greenland.
