Search Party Planned For Missing South Idaho Man

A man has been reported missing from a Boise-area park. He was last seen on July 24, and his family is asking for help searching for him.

James Sumpter, 54, has been reported missing by family. His last known location was approximately 25 miles east of Boise at his home near Robie Creek Park. His profile was shared on the Idaho Missing Persons Alerts Facebook page.

Sumpter, who is 5'6" and weighs approximately 130 pounds, was likely wearing a tank top and sandals on the afternoon of July 24. He has brownish, curly, long hair and was traveling on foot as his car was found at his residence near the park.

August 9 through 11 there is a search planned at Robie Creek Park, and anyone who can assist will aid efforts to locate him. Please message the IMPA page if you have seen Sumpter or know his current whereabouts.
