Snowmobile To Boise Mtns, Stay Night At Idaho Yurt With Hot Tub
Now that there's plenty of powder in the mountains northeast of Boise, people are once again reserving dates for a truly unique experience less than an hour outside the state's capital city. Snowmobile or ski three miles into the woods and arrive at a yurt for an overnight stay that includes a sauna, hot tub, wood-burning stoves, and breathtaking scenery.
Hot fires, relaxing views, board games, hiking, snowball fights, dips in the hot tub, and other activities are available that give visitors the chance to experience a trip that isn't consumed by smartphones, alerts, text messages, and obnoxious neighbors.
For those looking for an incredible, southern Idaho weekend away, there's a wilderness adventure that awaits 40 miles northeast of Boise that would be a great way to bond with family or friends and unplug from all the everyday chaos. Some of the yurts sleep as many as eight, come equipt with kitchens, and offer access to saunas and spas.
This week while I was researching ways to spend some time outside of town and away from other humans, I came across Idaho Wilderness Yurts. The property is featured on Instagram and YouTube and appears to be the ideal trip that's off-grid, but at the same time just a few miles from civilization.
Those who spend time at IWY can safely park roughly three miles away and take belongings in on snowmobiles, which is an adventure in itself. Hot fires, relaxing views, board games, hiking, snowball fights, dips in the hot tub, and other activities are available that give visitors the chance to experience a trip that isn't consumed by smartphones, alerts, text messages, and obnoxious neighbors.
