Lake Walcott

Ground and air crews are working to suppress a brushfire just north of Lake Walcott that broke out Tuesday afternoon

As far as kayaking is concerned, you can hug the banks of the lake or paddle all the way out to Minidoka Dam. There are also numerous wooden piers to pull up to and enjoy lunch from inside your kayak.

We are used to camping "off-the-grid," but I have to say, this is an overnight experience that I will add to my summer trip planner from here on out.
