A teacher described by his students as caring and always willing to help out has been named the Twin Falls Education Foundation's Teacher of the Year

Teachers educate and shape the minds of our children (and us) and help us better ourselves. We here at Townsquare Media Twin Falls think they deserve more credit. That's why we asked you to name the Magic Valley Teacher of the Year.

The nominations are in! It was quite a task to narrow all of them down to just ten educators... but here they are: your Top 10 Magic Valley Teachers! Vote for the teacher you think deserves to win (you must be a registered VIP to vote).

The nominations were numerous and voting was brisk, but one educator came out on top.

With almost 2,300 votes so far, the action has been brisk but we're in the home stretch. Time is running out to vote for the Magic Valley Teacher of the Year! At last check Jerome High School's Scott Burton had taken the lead, but Wendell Middle School's Travis Robison and Filer Intermediate's Kent Snow were hot on his heels. Voting deadline is May 28th, 2013 at midnight.

This weekend is my first wedding anniversary and we plan on ringing in our first year of marriage with some Trekkie love.  There's plenty of other fun things going on in the greater Twin Falls area as well. Happy Weekend!
