Heavy winds and an increasing chance for snowfall for the next 24 hours are forecasted for certain areas of southern Idaho. Another weather system is due to sweep through the southern portion of the Gem State early next week as well.
This morning we found a black and orange looking fluffy caterpillar. After some research it was determined it is a wooly bear caterpillar. Not only are they interesting to look at, there supposedly can predict the type of winter we are going to have.
I know a lot of people don't give the Farmers Almanac a second glance because it is extended forecasting that is even more difficult to predict than every day stuff. However, according to the predictions, Idaho is in store for a snowy winter.
