On Today's Rock News you'll get new music from the Foo Fighters, Steven Tyler and sex and drugs?, AND Ozzy is still in the news - this time he receives an award!

First up, The Foo Fighters new album Wasting Light is now in stores and it kicks ass!  With new music comes new tour dates - Not all of them have been released yet, but my toes, fingers, and ummm, everything is crossed in hopes of their arrival near the Magic Valley.  I'll let you know if that changes.  As for the new album, Wasting Light, you can still sample it before you buy it.  Do your self a favor and sample it - the first time you hear it, you'll love it....or I do. :-)

Not that it's surprising to hear the words sex, drugs, and rock n' roll in the same sentence as Steven Tyler, but isn't he trying to stay sober?  Considering he repeatedly fell off of stages, due to that pesky Lunesta snorting.  (Who snorts sleeping pills?  WTH?)

For those of you who were actually worried about Tyler's health, you'll be happy to know that he's just putting out a memoir about it and it comes out on May 3rd.  Billboard.com is reporting:

His book, "Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?," comes out at a time when the 63-year-old singer's job as a judge on TV show "American Idol" is winning him new, younger fans who may not be familiar with his sordid past.

And once he tells them all those girls who just love him will realize, he's just a dirty old man.  :-)  Hey, just my opinion.  I always want yours, feel free to comment below.  If you'd like to find out more about Steven Tyler's new book check out Billboard.com's article.

As for Ozzy, the BBC is reporting that he'll be receiving a sweet rock award from the Kerrang Awards, which this year is hosted by Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Scot Ian of Anthrax and The Damned Things.  The show goes down in London on June 9th.

Kerrang! editor Nichola Browne said: "We are so unbelievably excited to have Ozzy play this very special show for our 30th birthday celebrations in June.  "We are privileged that the Prince of Darkness can help us mark this momentous milestone in style and it's guaranteed to be a night to remember."

Ozzy has been in rock news all this week, I mean it's only Hump Day, but dang...impressive!
