Although there are no plans for a 'Toy Story 4' (yet), Pixar hasn't been shy about utilizing their most iconic characters for short films (see: the 'Toy Story' Toons and the 'Cars' Toons). But now, the latest adventure of Buzz, Woody and the gang will be heading to TV for Pixar's first Halloween special. Titled 'Toy Story of Terror,' was teased by Pixar today, giving us a first look at the project and letting us know where we'd be able to watch it.

official Pixar Twitter account, which tweeted the first image from the upcoming special and when it will premiere. Hint: it's on a TV network owned by the same company that owns Pixar...

You'd think surviving a close brush with death at the hands of a pit of molten garbage would toughen a few sentient toys up, but something has our heroes seriously spooked.

Here's the synopsis we received last year, which makes 'Toy Story of Terror' sound like a parody of slasher horror movies:

What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror.

We'll be able to see what actually goes down when 'Toy Story of Terror' premieres on ABC this October.
