It's been an emotional week for many people in Idaho and across the country.

Not that southern Idaho residents need a reason to visit the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, but for the next week, there will be a rare photo opportunity to take advantage of at the famous landmark.

With the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and the Wednesday assassination of activist Charile Kirk, a dark cloud of emotion is hanging over many people's heads in the Gem State. We need a reason to come together and be reminded of what an incredible country we live in.

The September 11 remembrance and flag unveiling will take place between 5 P.M. and 6:30 P.M., according to KMVT. The flag will remain hanging on the bridge until September 20, so make sure to get a picture for that screen saver.

Wednesday evening, the city held its 7th Annual Bands at the Bridge, an event to raise awareness of mental health resources available for those struggling with depression. The 24-hour text and phone helpline for anyone dealing with mental health issues is 9-8-8.
