Actor Henry Winkler frequently visits Idaho because he loves to fish there. A Gem State resident recently tweeted the Happy Days star to tell him to stay out of the state because of his voting preference, and Winkler responded.

Henry Winkler is a beloved film and television star. I've had the good fortune to interview him on the radio and meet him face to face, and I will say that he's one of the most genuine, kind-hearted people one could ever meet. He's also a massive flyfishing fan who visits the rivers of Idaho just about every year and posts on social media about how much he loves the Gem State.

Over 42,000 people liked the post Winkler shared and more than 2,000 have commented on it as of October 23.

Winkler took a moment out from his busy schedule on October 17 to respond to a tweet someone from Idaho sent him. Winkler's political views and choice of candidate support apparently didn't sit well with the individual who attacked the 78-year-old actor from New York.

"Got a tweet from someone in IDAHO. Said they don’t want me back because of how I vote. I LOVE IDAHO no matter how some of you vote."

Over 42,000 people liked the post Winkler shared and more than 2,000 have commented on it as of October 23. It's well known that the actor is not a fan of Donald Trump's, and has discussed his feelings toward the former president on a number of occasions. Hopefully, Winkler won't let the social media attack bother him too much and will return to Idaho waters soon.
