COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A long-haul truck driver from Coeur d'Alene who served as a church youth camp counselor is accused of raping and abusing underage boys in Spokane and Kootenai counties.

The Spokesman-Review reports that 30-year-old Kevin Sloniker is charged with rape and two counts of lewd conduct involving two underage boys. He is a suspect in the sexual abuse of at least eight other boys over the past decade. Sloniker appeared in court Friday. He does not yet have an attorney. He was arrested Sept. 14 in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and extradited to Idaho.

He was booked into the Kootenai County jail on Oct. 9. According to court documents, Sloniker is accused of raping and assaulting one Coeur d'Alene boy repeatedly over the past six years, and having lewd conduct with a 9-year-old boy from Newport, Washington.
