Twin Falls Reacts: Removing Skunk Smell

This is Wiley and he stinks!  He was skunked again this week in the Twin Falls area.  While this is not my first rodeo, I do leave the skunk-smell removal to my husband and he needs some help.

Luckily, some of our Facebook Fans left some great recommendations on how to remove the stank from the skunk-smell.  Check it out:

What I've found that works the best, is to first throw the dog in the shower and try to wash off as much skunk smell as you can. If all you have is soap and water, do it.

Next, go out and buy the strong stuff and keep washing the dog till you can't smell it any longer.  Here are a couple of products that work well:

• Petco's Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover
• Good old tomato juice
• Homemade Formula that includes hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dawn dish soap. Watch this video to learn how to make it yourself:
