A young child is recovering after spending the night at a Salinas hospital with alcohol poisoning. Salinas is located approximately 18 miles northeast of Monterey.
According to ABC 7, the child had a blood alcohol level of .12 percent and was served wine instead of juice. A mislabeled container was identified as the problem, according to ABC 7. Parents were tipped off to the problem when the child began showing signs of intoxication.
