Casey Kelley, the Shoshone Fire Chief has been named the Duran Group Powered by Epic Realty Hometown Hero for November. Congratulations to Casey!

According to the nominator, Casey Kelley has been a Fire Chief in Shoshone for about 10 years after volunteering on the Hagerman QRU and fire department 15 years before that. Casey was raised in Shoshone and decided to return after living in Hagerman so he could give back to the community that helped raise him.

According to the nominator, Casey is the President of the Fire Fighter Association in Shoshone and helps raise money to purchase food for the food bank around Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. They also put on an Easter Egg hunt for kids in the community every year.

According to the nominator, Casey also took training through Safe Kids to be a Child Safety Passenger Technician so he can help families that are in need of car seats and show them how to properly install those seats for infants and toddlers.

Casey also helps in the SID's Prevention Foundation to promote safe sleeping for children and distributes cribs, beds and whatever else is needed to those families in need.

Huge shout out to Casey for being such an amazing person and help in the community of Shoshone. Your extra efforts are appreciated more than you probably know.
