After developing three of the best horror games of the past year, Five Nights at Freddy's sole creator proved what a class act he is by donating $249,999 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Kotaku reports that Scott Cawthon, developer of Five Nights at Freddy's, has donated almost $250,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during a recent online fundraiser. YouTube personality and video game streamer Dawko got on Twitch and started out the Five Nights for St. Jude fundraiser on Saturday March 14 hoping to raise $5,000 total from his viewers for St. Jude Children Hospital. Instead, the stream ended up raising $256,474 in total. $249,999 of that came from the series' lone creator himself, Scott Cawthon.

St. Jude Children's Hospital is an incredibly deserving cause. The families that go into St. Jude come out without a bill to be paid. St. Jude pays for not only treatment but also the housing and food that goes along with the patient's stay. The organization runs mainly off the generous donations that it gets throughout the year from anybody who has the mind and heart to donate.

It's pretty impressive that Five Nights at Freddy's creator donated such an incredible amount of money that made this stream the most successful in St. Jude online donation history. You can check out the Five Nights at Freddy's series now on PC. If you want to donate further to St. Jude you can do so on its website. Bravo Mr. Cawthon, bravo.
