Sneezing, Coughing, and Illness Coming to Your Home in the Gem State
The weather is still warm, and summer temperatures will continue to last for weeks, but soon fall will be fast approaching, and the temperatures will drop. Typically, around this time, allergies pick up, many start getting the sniffles, and colds become more common at home, in church, and around the office. While some expect this and prepare for it, you don't have to wait until fall to start getting sick, as something else may cause you to do so in Idaho. It is time to start preparing for illness making its way into your home in Idaho, especially over the next couple of weeks.
School Means Sick Kids in Idaho
By now, most schools are back in session in Idaho, and nationwide, all schools will be back in session soon, if they aren't already. While it can be a fun time, it can also be a stressful time. Making new friends, learning new things, and navigating a new school can all be stressful, but also for parents. They have to worry about their kids making friends, not falling behind in certain subjects, and hoping they excel at what they are being taught. It also means that new illnesses will be coming home as well. While summer was fun, your children weren't going to school, and weren't being around kids who may come to school with something they picked up on vacation, from home, or from one of their siblings. With school now back, it is time to prepare and be willing to adjust your schedule if need be.
Illnesses Spreading in Idaho
During the summer, it is easy for children to avoid other kids, but during school, they sit near each other on the bus, in classrooms, and at the lunch table. It is inevitable that if one student gets sick, it will come home to many others as well. Already, there are colds that are going around, despite it still being warm outside. If it is happening already, it is expected that it will only get worse as the temperatures drop and the semester goes on. Be prepared to need to take a few days off in the coming weeks and months to take care of your sick kids or to have someone ready to watch them. Colds, flus, and other diseases will be invading your home soon.

It isn't fun, but it always seems to happen when school starts up. Some families and kids are more immune and can fight the illnesses making the rounds, while others are more prone to them and seem to catch every single one that enters the halls at school. Make sure to be giving your children vitamins and taking your own, and anything you can to help fight off what is likely headed your way now that school is back.
