I would’ve told her there are better investments when it comes to her time.  Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin is giving more fodder to liberal media.  This happened after she addressed an alternative to the Conservative Political Action Committee.  The America First Political Action Conference is a break-away splinter group barred from attending CPAC.  It appears to have been fronted by a guy named Nick Fuentes.  Wikipedia describes him as somewhat of a provocateur.

He’s also described as a Holocaust denier but claims he was being facetious when he made the remarks that got him into the news media hot water.  AFPAC has been described by major corporate media as a white supremacist organization.  That simply may be the usual liberal hyperbole.  Fuentes believes same-sex marriage and homosexuality are deviant.  He holds traditional Christian views on the practice, which may be what really angers the left.

Mystified by McGeachin's Strategy

As for McGeachin, I’m not at all sure who told her this would be a good idea.  Her remarks were taped.  She wasn’t at the event.  Over the weekend she was busy on Idaho’s Lincoln Day circuit.

There may be members of her base who aren’t in any way bothered by her remarks to the Florida gathering.  The trouble is, in a crowded primary, she needs some votes from elsewhere.  Her defenders can shout that other voters just don’t know what the score is, but yelling at them isn’t really a good political strategy.

I would’ve thought with less than three months to go before Primary Day that she would’ve weeded the nitwits out of her campaign apparatus.  Her learning curve appears to be very steep.

A Wasted Opportunity

There was a time when I thought she had the best chance to dethrone Brad Little but long ago banished the thought in exasperation.

However, mainstream media is clearly not innocent.  These are the people who coined the phrase mostly peaceful protest as their Marxist allies burned and looted cities.  From a cultural perspective, Janice McGeachin is a politician in flyover country.  The viruses in newsrooms afflict every corner of the country.  She talked to some people polite society doesn’t like.  The news media is a front for anarchy and, frankly, the enemy of all things good about America.
