Jerome Plans ‘Coffee with a Cop’ on Saturday
JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) – If you’d like to get to know your local police officers better, Saturday is a good time for you to do that.
Officers from the Jerome Police Department will be at the Jerome Military Museum from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday for “Coffee with a Cop,” an event aimed to allow the community to get to know their local law officers.
“The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve,” according to the police department. “We did an event a few months ago and had a great time, we would love for the public to come out and visit us.”
A yard sale also will be held at the same time and location. Proceeds from this event will go to help fund a new roof for the museum.
While here, take a gander at the exhibits.
If you’ve already visited the museum, chances are you’ll see something new on Saturday. The museum changes its exhibits periodically so that returning visitors will see something they might not have seen before.
The museum is located at 220 North Lincoln.
