I know we are officially in the holiday season and that is pretty exciting, but this might be more exciting to some people. Journey has announced tour dates for 2020 and one of those will be in our lovely state capitol. Tickets sales begin next week for the May 20, 2020 show at the ExtraMile Arena in Boise (previously called the Taco Bell Arena). Journey will be joined onstage by the Pretenders but not, as far as we know,  by Steve Perry. Fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle though because that would be epic.

We love all types of rock in Idaho, but there are few bands that cover as broad a demographic as journey do. They just wrapped up a short Vegas residency but will be heading back there in December. If you miss out on that experience, then this Boise show is your next chance. Following the Idaho show the band will head to West Valley, Utah to play the USANA Amphitheater. Ticket prices haven't been announced but prices for the Las Vegas shows are more than $100 on average.

While Steve Perry isn't expected to perform with the band, he is still working on and releasing music as a solo artist. Hear his version of Silver Bells below.

With less than a week until the tickets go on sale for the Boise show, you can prepare yourself to be rocked by the band by testing your knowledge of the band with the 'You Think You Know Classic Rock?' YouTube video.
