One fatality has been reported along with multiple injuries after the driver of an automobile on Sunday lost control and went airborne landing on a rooftop west of Boise. The home suffered catastrophic damage as a result of the fatal accident.

Emergency responders found three adults, one with fatal injuries, inside the automobile.

One person sustained fatal injuries and two others were rushed to a southern Idaho hospital after a car landed on a Nampa rooftop destroying the roof and chimney, according to details shared by idahonews.com. Nampa is 20 miles west of Boise. It appears the automobile sailed off a raised portion of lawn before ending up on the rooftop.

It's been reported that excessive speed was the cause of a fatal crash involving a motorist who lost control and ended up on the roof of a home on East Amity Road, according to King 5 Seattle. Emergency responders found three adults, one with fatal injuries, inside the automobile. The accident caused numerous area power outages, according to King 5 Seattle.

Investigators who arrived at the scene on Sunday shared dramatic photos. One firefighter can be seen standing on the roof, which had a massive section sunken in as a result of the impact. The entire front end of the vehicle penetrated the roof, causing major damage.

There have been no reports as to whether the driver was distracted or if alcohol played a part in the wreck. The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
