Opinion: Let’s Get Paul Blart On The Horn For Idaho’s Next Rally

If you're like me, then you've spent a lot of time watching television over the past 24 hours since an attempt was made on former President Donald Trump's life. An epic security failure on someone's part almost led to the first American presidential assassination in over 60 years.

Maybe Idaho should reach out to Paul Blart, Maxwell Smart, or Inspector Clouseau prior to the next political gathering. Perhaps Special Officer Doofy might be able to lend a hand.

I'm as blown away as you are. A 20-year-old kid managed to get on a roof with a rifle within 150 yards of the ex-president on Saturday evening in Pennsylvania. Despite a large crowd of onlookers screaming the location of this kid to onsite security, he managed to get a couple of shots off a full minute later. We know how close that bullet was to ending Trump's life in a very public and gruesome manner.

I heard on the news this morning that the Secret Service has put the blame on local law enforcement for the breach of security. What I heard was that Trump's security team instructed Pennsylvania police to monitor the building the young man used to put the former president in the crosshairs.

When Idaho holds its next presidential rally, what kind of changes would you like to see happen? Maybe Idaho should reach out to Paul Blart, Maxwell Smart, or Inspector Clouseau prior to the next political gathering. Perhaps Special Officer Doofy might be able to lend a hand.
