WATCH: Bear Visit Adds Excitement To Idaho Family Camping Trip
There isn't a better time of year than camping season, and camping in Idaho is as good if not better than any other state in the country. Animals wandering into camp go hand in hand with spending time outdoors, and one Idaho family recently shared a video of a rather large, hairy visitor who got very curious about their trip to the mountains.
This Idaho family is living the good life. I'm not sure if the family had as much fun as the dogs, but it sure inspired me to go camping.
Camping doesn't really have a season per se, but I think it's safe to say that most people enjoy camping in the summer months than winter for obvious reasons. For those who live in states with largely warmer climates such as Arizona, Nevada, and California, camping comfortably is possible all year round in certain areas, but activities are limited.
When I go camping, I require campfires, river access, and dry conditions to hike in, play outdoor games in, float on the water in, and pour up some jalapeno margaritas in. The last time our campsite was visited by wildlife was in 2008 in the southern Sawtooth Mountains. A couple of wolves entered our site during a severe and unexpected July rain and lightning storm; maybe they were startled from their normal stomping grounds.
One Idaho family recently shared an unreal trip to the mountains that included a bear sighting. It looks like the bear might have been scared off by the family's dogs. If this video doesn't make you want to head up the mountains for a weekend, you might want to check your pulse.
