A nationally sold brand of baby snacks designed to help with teething has been voluntarily recalled by its manufacturer. One infant was reportedly taken to the emergency room after ingesting one of the flavored snacks.

Gerber Products Company, headquartered in Michigan, has recalled and discontinued a product made to soothe teething infants in the form of flavored sticks. The details of the recall were published on the U.S. Food & Drug Administration website on January 31, 2025.

Gerber is encouraging parents to discard the product or return it to the store where it was purchased and not to continue allowing children to use it.

Gerber has stated that the teething sticks pose a choking hazard and that one infant has been hospitalized.
