Tragic accidents in Idaho claimed lives this week. A 19-year-old driver lost his life in Valley County, while another incident in Caldwell resulted in a female driver's fatality.
A 14-year-old Twin Falls boy is in a coma after being struck by a vehicle while he was in the crosswalk. The family is asking for any help they can get right now. It is unclear if he is going to be home for Christmas. He is currently in a hospital in Boise.
Almost one third of the traffic deaths that happened on Idaho roadways during this year's "100 Deadliest Days," which is the nickname for the time period between Memorial Day and Labor Day, were due to distracted driving.
The case is closed in regards to former Gooding School District employee Ann Kuroki. The 27 year old was in front of Gooding County Court facing two felony counts of injury to a child and one misdemeanor count of dispensing alcohol to a minor.
