There have been several reported incidents in the Magic Valley in the past few weeks of someone using a BB gun to damage property and harm pets throughout the community.

Unfortunately, there are people in this world who have no regard for the property of others and won't think twice about inflicting damage on another's possessions. When it comes to animals, this type of behavior can cause all sorts of red flags to be raised.

Multiple Reports of Someone Shooting Pets With Pellet Guns In Twin Falls, ID

On May 9, a Magic Valley resident posted a story about her cat getting shot twice with a pellet gun on a local rants/raves Meta page. Others quickly chimed in from the area and mentioned not only cats being targeted in southern Idaho, but also car windows.

They say harming pets for personal satisfaction is something people who grow to become serial killers do. I'm not sure how true this is, but I will say it takes a deviant to point a weapon at someone's pet and pull the trigger, even if we're talking about a pellet or BB gun.

'My cat also was shot a few weeks ago. She is OK now. Why can people be so cruel', said another area resident in response to the post.

Pellet guns are powerful enough to kill small animals, and anyone found to be targeting area pets in such a manner will face prosecution in Idaho. If you see someone destroying property or harming Twin Falls area pets with these types of weapons, contact local police.
